Obituary of Patricia McCullum
McCULLUM, Patricia E.- It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Patricia “Pat” Eileen McCullum which occurred unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Tuesday April 16th, 2013. Born in Tiddville, Nova Scotia on September 2, 1933, she was a daughter of the late George and Alice (MacLearn) Stanton, the fifth of nine children. Pat attended Grand Manan High School where she graduated as the Valedictorian. She then moved to Saint John to work where she met and married her husband Ted McCullum. Pat attended Portland United Church where she taught Sunday school. She was an avid reader and an accomplished knitter, quilter, and seamstress. Pat loved cats, loved to play Bridge, and was an excellent cook- famous for her pies. She worked for many years as a Sales Associate for Charm Diamond Center. Pat was pre deceased by her parents, sisters, Olive, Christina (who was also her best friend), Ellen, Carolyn, and by brothers, Bryce, and Milton. Pat loved her family and she is survived by her husband Ted of 59 Years, three children, Kathy , (Bill) London, of Rothesay, Dianne, (Perry) Jarvis, of Rothesay, and Brian (Donna) McCullum, of Saint John, nine grandchildren, Jim London (Crystal Bennett), Anna London (Korey Nixon), Carolyn London (fiancée Ausaf Tak), Rebecca London, Christopher Jarvis, Natalie Jarvis, Brent McCullum, Jennifer McCullum, Craig McCullum, two great grandchildren, Grace Nixon, and Luke Nixon, one sister, Nancy, (Ray) Harris, and one brother, Russell (Dora) Stanton, and several nieces and nephews. In keeping with Pat’s wishes, there will be no visitation. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held from Castle Funeral Home “Fallsview” Chapel, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John Saturday April 20th, 2013 at 1:30pm. Pastor Rob Nylen will be officiating. Following the service a reception will be held at Fallsview Reception Centre. In Pat’s memory, remembrances may be made to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue League or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
