Obituary of Hazen Emmerson Galbraith

Hazen Emmerson Galbraith passed away peacefully at home March 28, 2014 at the age of 92, “Absent from the body, present with the Lord”. Born in Saint John on February 21, 1922 he was a son of the late Charles and Maude (Gillespie) Galbraith. Hazen began work with the C.P.R in 1945 in Saint John, then moving to work in Windsor Station Montreal from 1959 until his retirement in 1987. Upon his retirement he moved back to Saint John. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Cyril Galbraith (Trena); daughter Faye Anna Galbraith; grandson Grant Galbraith and granddaughter Lauren Galbraith all of Saint John. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife Florence Galbraith and his siblings Verdun Galbraith, Evelyn Wilson and Percy Galbraith. Hazen was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place on Sunday, March 30, 2014 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014 at 2:00pm from the Castle “Fallsview” Chapel with Dr. Bruce Hayhoe officiating.
