Obituary of Daniel Shea
Shea, Daniel Timothy. It is with great sadness the family of Daniel Timothy Shea announce his sudden passing on Saturday October 3, 2015. Born in Saint John Dan was a son of the late Leonard Michael and Marie Agnes (Breen) Shea. Dan is survived by his loving wife Paula L. (Cunningham) Shea; two brothers, William (Bill)(Jean), of Quispamsis; Paul M.(Mary), of Saint John; two sisters, Dawn Marie Shea (Don Mercer), of Saint John; Patricia (Ivan) Roy, of Saint John; Mother in law, Sandra Cunningham, of Saint John; brother in law, Brian Cunningham (Danielle Kenny), of Saint John, and several special nieces and nephews. Dan was predeceased by both his parents, and his father in law Paul Cunningham. Dan spent his working career with Horizon Health, and worked in the distribution stores dept. at the Saint John Regional Hospital until his retirement two years ago after 40 years of service. He was an avid sports fan and was especially fond of the Montreal Canadians, the Toronto Blue Jays, and the New England Patriots. Dan very much enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John (634 1701). Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 6, 2015 from 2 to4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will take place at Castle Funeral Home "Fallsview" Chapel on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 10:00 am with Monsignor Brian Sheehan officiating. A reception will be held following the service at the Assumption Center. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations to the N.B. Heart and Stroke foundation or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
