Obituary of Edmond Joseph Gaudet
It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Edmond Joseph Gaudet, who passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 2, 1933. He was the son of the late Thomas and Mary (Pitre) Gaudet. Loving husband of Aline (Despres) Gaudet. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed his grandchildren. Edmond worked at Centracare for over thirty years . He spent many years volunteering for numerous local organizations such as Camp Liberty, which he helped founded and Camp Goodtime and Meals on Wheels. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus 6770 and 4th Degree Assembly. He was survived by his wife, Aline of 56 years; sons, Gill (Paulette), Marc; daughters, Joanne (Doug), of Dartmouth, Krista (Rob) Wilson; brothers, Manuel, Tom, Joe; sisters, Beatrice, May, Evelyn, Pauline, Claudia; six grandchildren, Kim, Kate, Laura, Sandra, Jessica, Jack; two great-grand children, Jordyn and Ben; numerous nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West, (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 7, 2013 from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm, with prayers at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 1pm from St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in Edmond’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice.
