Obituary of Lawrence "Larry" Tracy

Tracy, Lawrence “Larry” Rexford Passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 01, 2012. Born on December 06, 1926 in Fredericton Junction, NB he was the son of the late Harvey and Nellie (Segee) Tracy. Devoted husband to the late Alice (Smith) Tracy. Larry worked for CP Railway and then retired from NB Tel. he was an avid fisherman, fly tier and the creator of the L.T. Special. He did guiding in the Miramichi and spent over 30 summers in Doaktown and enjoyed hosting many family and friends. He was a family man and enjoyed moments with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be sadly missed by his daughters, Sherry (Stephen) Beyea, Debra (Brian) Mason and Lori (Gary) Comeau; grandchildren, Joe, Tara, Aaron, Matthew, Jeff, Erica, Michelle, Robert, Andrew, Josh, Kira and Beven; 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his only son, Terrance (Pat) Tracy, brothers, Ronnie, Charles and Neil and sister, Gwendolyn. Arrangements have been entrusted to Castle Funeral Home, “Fallsview Chapel”, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John West (634-1701). The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 04, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Hillcrest Baptist Church, with a reception following at the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Larry, may be made to the SJRH-Palliative Care or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. The family would like to thank the staff Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their wonderful care.
