Obituary of Margaret Trenholm
Mrs. Margaret Mary Trenholm passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 6, 2013. Born in Salmon River, Nova Scotia on October 17, 1929, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Madeline Deveau. She was known for her love of photography, with many photo albums over flowing with her pictures. Margaret also enjoyed listening to music. She was a member of the Light Spot group, the St. Joachim’s Prayer Group and many Senior Singing Groups. A wonderful Mother, Grandmother Aunt and Sister. Margaret is survived by two sons, Wayne and Joseph Griffin both of Saint John; two daughters Ann (Thomas) Linton and Karen Cormier both of Saint John; her daughter-in-law Doris; six grandchildren Michael, Christina, Troy, Reg, Cheyanne and Duran; two great-grandchildren Jaden and Jeremy; one sister Frances Deveau of Halifax; her sister-in-law Dorothy Farish of PEI; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by, her husband Reginald Griffin and more recently her husband Norman E. Trenholm; three sons Gordon, Kevin and Keith; her brothers Wilfred, Herbert, Wally, Lester, Everett, Henry and Benny and her sister Irene Gibson. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB, E2M 2L3. Visitation will take place Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm and Sunday, December 8, 2013 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Assumption Church on December 9, 2013 at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. A Reception will be held at Castle "Fallsview" Reception Center. Donations made to the Right to Life organization or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
