Obituary of Diane Quinlan
It is with heavy hearts the family of Miss Diane (Delo) Elizabeth Quinlan of Saint John, NB wish to announce her passing on Sunday April 16, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Saint John on August 20, 1942. Diane was predeceased by her father Leonard, Mother Elizabeth (Hanley), Brother Robert and Sister Geraldine Haslett and Brother-in-law Gordon. Diane is survived by her nieces Rhonda Sullivan (Rick) and their children Bailey and Darby of Grand Bay-Westfield, Roberta Shepard (Ken) and their children Marc and Alyssa of Summerville, Tanya Walsh (Kevin) of St. Catherine’s Dawn Adams (Mike) and their children Michael and Alison (Josh) Folkins along with their children Vaughn, Grady and Elin of Hampton. Diane retired in 2007 from Spruce Grove Cleaners and was formerly employed with Lingley Printing Co. for 30 years. Diane was a hardworking, kind hearted woman who took each day as it came. She enjoyed spending time with her family, trailering, crocheting and watching her favourite TV shows. She was also an avid cat collector, especially the ones in her neighbourhood! She loved anything and everything that had to do with cats and kittens. We would like to thank all the staff that showed compassion and kindness to Diane during her stay in Hospital.Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John (634-1701). Respecting Diane’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Following cremation a private family graveside service will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Saint John S.P.C.A.
