Obituary of Ada Elizabeth Dixon

Ada Elizabeth (Belyea) of Brown’s Flat, born March 6, 1932 passed away July 9, 2022 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth Belyea, loving wife of the late Trueman Dixon.

Survived by one daughter Teena Francis (Trevor) of Brown’s Flat, two grandsons; Matthew (Natalie) of Welsford and Justin (Mary – Margaret Smith) Francis of Brown’s Flat, great grandson Douglas Francis, sister-in-law Phyllis Mullin of Saint John, special friend and companion Murray Long of Lower Greenwich, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Predeceased by parents, husband Trueman, brother Fred Belyea, and sister Eva Golding.

Ada loved her family and her little grand puppy “Missy” with all her heart. She loved camping, dancing, quilting, playing 45’s, picking wildflowers, gardening, and spending time with her many friends. She loved her little church and church family. Thank God for friends.

The family would like to thank all the Palliative Care Staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital and Dr. O’Brien for their kindness and care given to Mom during her time there.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Wesley United Church in Brown’s Flat. Interment will follow in Wesley United Church Cemetery, with a reception at Brown’s Flat Hub. Donations in Ada’s memory can be made to the Wesley United Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
