Obituary of David D MacKellar

Peacefully on May 27, 2021, at home in Basel Switzerland, at the age of 69 years. Long- term partner of Ruth Correngourt (Basel). Loving father of Laila MacKellar (Basel). Dear brother of Christine (Ottawa), Heather (Nanaimo), and Cathy, Duncan, and Alan (Saint John). Beloved son of the late Freda (Reynolds) and Duncan S. MacKellar.

David loved a variety of music. His competitive spirit was evident when watching TV game shows. David loved Bridge. He enjoyed doing jigsaw and crossword puzzles. Was an avid reader. David was a soccer (football) and hockey fan. He enjoyed writing poetry.

David was an optimist with a strong work ethic. He will be remembered for his smile. His integrity and caring concern will be missed.

David lived a full interesting life, cut too short.

Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701) have been entrusted with the arrangements. A memorial service will be held at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel on Thursday July 7, 2022, at 1:00 P.M. Interment will take place in Greenwood cemetery. A reception will be held following the interment at Royal Canadian Legion branch #69, 714 Wilson St. Saint John, at 2P.M.
