Obituary of Emily Ann Doucette
Emily Ann Doucette passed away peacefully on March 2, 2022 at Bobby’s Hospice after a short battle with illness. Emily was born on May 7, 1955 in Woodstock, NB to the late Joseph and Margaret (Smith) Doucette.
Emily will be missed by her sons; Brian and Philip Doucette (Samantha), brother Glen Doucette, half brother Edward Malcolm (Gail), grandchildren; Isaac Doucette, Gerald Doucette and Ashley Vicars, special nephew Dana Hansen (Laurie), close cousin Linda Malcolm, several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In addition to her parents Emily is predeceased by her lifelong companion Frederick LeBlanc, brother Gerald (Helen), sister in law Corinne Doucette, and infant grandson Michael.
Emily left Woodstock with her family and moved to Saint John at the age of 8, where she grew up in the North End. Emily loved spending time with the kids growing up, going swimming and traveling to PEI. She was an avid bowler and knitter. Emily enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and making people laugh. Christmas was Emily’s favourite time of year, there was nothing she loved more than getting the whole family together to spend the holidays.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers donations in Emily’s memory can be made to Bobby’s Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.ca
