Lillian’s childhood was spent in Jemseg,N.B. before moving to Saint John to attend Business College. Her first employment was with the C.N.R.Freight Office where she met her future husband of 58 years. After marriage in 1945, she resided most of her life in Lancaster except for brief moves to New Glasgow N.S. and Fredericton N.B. where she made lifelong friends. Lillian was an active member of Lancaster Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir, her Ladies Auxiliary Group, and various other activities. She was especially proud of receiving a Life Membership Pin from the W.M.S..In later years she discovered the joy of curling and was a Past President of the Senior Ladies at Carleton Curling Club. Up until restrictions, she enjoyed her afternoons with the Branch #69 Seniors.
Lillian is survived by her two daughters, Linda (John) Andrews of Rothesay and Brenda (Wayne) MacIntosh of Saint John, two grandchildren. Mark (Christine) MacIntosh and Marla MacIntosh also of Saint John. She was Shaky Nanny to Sarah MacIntosh and two step-great-grandchildren, Donna and Tyler Borden. Also survived by four nieces, one nephew, one cousin, very close friends Lowell and Roberta Henderson and many more wonderful friends.
Linda and Brenda wish to thank everyone who cared for their mother during the past five years as a resident of Tucker Hall. She was blessed to be surrounded by a large family of residents, their families and all those who provided her daily care with kindness and compassion.
