Obituary of Donald Thomas Cusack

Donald Thomas Cusack, passed away peacefully on February 3rd, 2022. Born in Saint John NB, on October 12h 1928 of the late Cedric “Steve” and Margaret (McLaughlin) Cusack. Survived by his wife Eileen (LeClair), daughter Maureen Patterson (Donald) and son Paul and his loving grandchildren Maria and Dennis. Also survived by two siblings Mary Harrigan (Bruce) and Veronica “Norma” Cusack, and several nieces and nephews. Donald was predeceased by his siblings, Margaret, Dorothy, Cedric, Gregory, Daniel, William, and Francis.

 

Donald owned and operated Cusack’s House of Flowers with his beloved wife, sharing his love of flowers and design with many. He enjoyed building and tending to his gardens at his home on Sandy Point Road.  Donald loved and cherished the time he spent with his family, he was known to say, “It doesn’t get any better than this Eileen.”

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John NB, E2M-2L3 (506) 634-1701. Visitation will be held from 12-1 pm and Memorial Service at 1 pm will take place on Thursday February 10, 2022.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Donations in memory of Donald may be made to the NB Alzheimer’s Society. 

 

Due to Covid-19 health measures placed on indoor gatherings by the Government of New Brunswick, all of those, 12 and over, attending the Visitation and Funeral Service will be required to show proof of vaccination and a piece of government issued ID, or proof of medical exemption.
