Obituary of Joyce Laurelle Wyse

 

It is with great sadness the family of Joyce L. (Fearnhead) Wyse wish to announce her passing on Tuesday January 11, 2022, at Shannex,Tucker Hall. Born in Verdun, Quebec, Joyce was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Stanley) Fearnhead.

 After high school, Joyce served at Flight Training School in Centralia Ontario with the RCAF. She then worked for the Federal Gov’t as an Office Manager with Export Credits Canada. Following retirement, she and her husband Norton emigrated to Edinburgh Scotland where they owned and operated a bed and breakfast “The International Guest House” for 8 years. They then returned to Saint John in the late 80’s and resided on Sunset Dr. then moved in 2007 to Chateau de Champlain.

 Joyce is survived by her beloved husband, Norton Wyse, of Saint John, one brother, William (Bill) Fearnhead, of Saint John, nieces, Valerie Corner, of Sussex, N.B., Patricia Possitti, of Ontario, Susan Knolla, of Saint John, nephew, James Walsh, of Ontario, and several cousins in England.

Joyce was predeceased by two sisters, Iris Brown, and Kathleen Walsh.

Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701) have been entrusted with the arrangements. There will be no visiting or funeral service. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Cemetery in the spring of 2022. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
