Obituary of William Winstanley
It is with profound sadness that the family of William “Bill” Winstanley announces his sudden passing on Thursday, December 30, 2021, in Saint John, NB.
William was born on March 27, 1958, in Oshawa, Ontario to Douglas and Sheila (Blakely) Winstanley. William is survived by his parents Douglas and Sheila, his beloved daughters Sara Winstanley (Heath) and Tiffany Winstanley (Stephen), and siblings Douglas Edward Winstanley (Nancy), Sandra Francescone (Chris), and Christopher Howard Winstanley (Stephanie), and Aunt Barbara (Blakely) Mclellan. He was also a beloved uncle to Kirsten (Vlad), Andrew (Marie), Curtis, Carter, Rhiannon, Hillary, Jennifer, Jamie, and Kate.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents William and Beatrice Winstanley, maternal grandparents Howard Blakely and Hilda Droy, and his Uncle Gilbert Mclellan.
As an avid outdoorsman, William spent a great deal of his time in nature. He shared his passion for hiking and travelling with his daughter, Sara, and loved hunting with his daughter, Tiffany.
Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Keeping with William’s wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of William’s Life will be held in Summer 2022 in Ontario. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ducks Unlimited Canada, Humane Society Hastings Prince Edward, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
