Dear Rose; Judy, Andrew, Carolyn, Don and families
We were saddened by the loss of Bob; yet so encouraged that he had such a wonderful family to fill all his days over the many years they enjoyed together. I first met Bob in 1976 with my work at Universal Sales Ltd. Bob was always there for me as a lead manager; my term of 16 years working with Bob is a testament to his continued support. Bob was always very tuned in to the ebb and flow of our business and always promised he would guide me. Bob was great with people and understood how to take care of them; mentoring, guiding and developing each one. He saw their strengths and their weaknesses and used this knowledge to build them up. May God bless you in your loss; and, keep you all in the palm of his hand.

My sincere condolences on the passing of your husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather. He was a lovely friendly man, always welcoming along the cottage road. I regret I didn't take a walk up the hill this past season at New River to stop in to say hi. May your memories of him bring you comfort at this difficult time.

Dear Rose -- on behalf of my step-dad, Charlie Mealey, I extend our sincere condolences from him and from my husband and me, Karen and Richard Hawkins. Mom (Georgie) and Dad thought the world of you both -- you were so kind and thoughtful to them and they so enjoyed your treats of homemade jams and jellies. A couple of weeks ago Dad received your lovely birthday card and note, which pleased him with smiles and stories of how much he and Mom thought of you both. He was saying how he missed seeing you during the summer Church services. May God bless you and your family with peace and joyful memories during this difficult time.

Sorry to hear about Bob's passing. Driving by the camp to go fishing won't be the same without him there. End of an era in New River. I've been running up and down the camp road for 40+ years. I can't ever remember Bob not being there. I'm glad he got one more lobster party in, this past summer.
Stop me on the road if you guys ever need anything.

I think of you and all "the Family" often. Peggy has kept me informed about you and Kim and the children from her facebook readings. We enjoyed some really fun moments and lots of laughs at the Kierstead house. Please give your Mom a hug from me.

To Rose and family,
My sincere condolences to you on the passing of Bob - a gentleman, and a gentle man. It is an honour to say "I knew him", We do go back many, many years, and Bob never changed; always dedicated, sincere, and never afraid to accept a challenge. He had a delightful sense of humour, which was quiet, but hilarious, and you had to pay attention as it was subtle.
I will miss my annual meeting with him, as it was always a pleasure to catch up each time.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Rose and family,
We were saddened to learn of the death of Bob. We are grateful to the Lord for his life and influence; his influence on his family, his church family and his community. We benefited from his leadership through the Lancaster Baptist Church. We recognised his willingness to participate in Bible study and his faithful attendance at worship. We valued his decades of service as church treasurer. We appreciated his sense of humour.
Because Bob followed the Lord Jesus, we take comfort in the words of Jesus,"I am the resurrection and the life.He who believes in me though he die yet shall he live." John 11:25 We are remembering you in prayer.

Dear Judy and family, please accept our heartfelt condolences. What found memories I will cherish of your Dad. Although most of my recollection is so fondly associated with New River, I can recall being the 19 year old garbage truck driver, stopping in at Universal Sales. If your Dad caught wind of me ( maybe literally and figuratively), he always made a point of extending me a joyful greeting. He had a presence that was undeniable.
