Obituary of Rita Marlene Perry
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Rita Marlene (Roberts) Perry announce her passing on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at her home. Marlene was born on September 28, 1947 in Saint John, to the late Harold and Helen (Mcintosh) Roberts.
Marlene is survived by her son Jody Hebert (Debi), daughter in law Marilyn Hebert, brother Edwin ‘Teddy’ Roberts (Dale), grandchildren; Taylor, Bryce, Matthieu, and Mia, and several nieces and nephews.
Marlene is predeceased by her parents, first husband Norbert Hebert, second husband David Perry, and son Michael Hebert.
Marlene’s grandchildren were her world, she was so proud of them. She enjoyed going on yearly trips to Portland ME, with her son Michael and his family, and going to the island to visit Jody and his family. Marlene was passionate about cooking and was very talented at it too.
Marlene worked at the Bank of Montreal, CNN Rail, K-Mart and Zellers where she eventually retired from.
Resting at Castle ‘Fallsview’ Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB 506-634-1701. Visitation will take place on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 12:00 Noon in Castle ‘Fallsview’ Chapel. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
