Obituary of Helen Marie Tremblay

It is with great sadness the family of Helen Marie Tremblay wish to announce her passing on Tuesday August 24, 2021 at the Charlotte County Hospital. Born in Saint John in 1932 to the late Albert and Mabel R. (McCluskey) FitzRandolph, and widow of the late Maurice Tremblay (1982).

Before her marriage, she was a local License School Teacher, teaching at Garnett Settlement. Later in life, she became a member of the Spruce Lake Women’s Institute, Citizens for Fort LaTour, and the N.B. Historical Society, with a special interest in Loyalist House. She was part of the Coleson Cove Liaison Committee, Friends of Musquash MPA. With an eye to the future and the preservation of natural areas, she supported the Nature Conservancy of Canada with a land donation. An avid reader, she read everything about the Royals, and not just the British royals, that she could get her hands on. She could hold you captive on royal genealogy for hours. Helen Marie was a talented Seamstress/Needlewoman.

Helen Marie is survived by her daughter, Louise (Ron) Kovar, of Calgary, sons,Douglas Tremblay, of Saint John, and Daniel (Kathy) Tremblay, of Laval Quebec, her two sisters, Marguerite “Midge” (Robert) Thompson, of South Musquash, and Charlotte FitzRandolph McCluskey (Tom Breau), of South Musquash, grandchildren, Ellen Kovar, Stephanie Kovar, A.J. Kovar, Matteo Tremblay, Milena Tremblay, Dino Tremblay, Sofia Tremblay, Sylvio Tremblay, Lindsay Tremblay, and Amy Tremblay, her many feline friends especially, Dit, Hissy, Goofy, Momby, Fuzzywuz, Orange Julius, and Baby.
