Obituary of Joseph Francis Glenn
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joseph ‘Joe’ Francis Glenn announce his peaceful passing on Monday, August 9, 2021 at the Church of St. John St. Stephen Home.
Joseph is survived by his wife Shirley Dee-Glenn of 39 years, son Matthew Glenn (Tanya), daughter Kim Haines (Dave), sisters; Maudie Kilfillen, Ruby Mott, Linda Lauzon, Wanette Capozzi (Victor) and Nancy Buckley, grandchildren; Jessica, Robyn, Natalie, Madison, and Meghan, great-grandchildren; Charlie, Chloe, Penny, Victoria, Murphy, Maisie, and many nieces and nephews.
Joseph is predeceased by his parents David and Beatrice (Fulton) Glenn, son David Douglas ‘Doug’ Glenn, siblings; Matthew, Mary, Betty, Connie and Hazel.
When Joe moved from his hometown of Chipman to Saint John he worked for Hughes Survey, then Irving Pulp and Paper for 12 years. He eventually went on to work for Saint John City Transit and as a Taxi driver for 20 years. Joe enjoyed doing word puzzles, yardwork, and fishing and hunting at Salmon River. Joe also loved spending time with friends and family and enjoyed sharing a good glass of whiskey.
Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 3L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2:00PM- 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Interment will follow in Red Bank Cemetery in Chipman, NB. Donations in Joe’s memory can be made to the Canadian Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.ca
