Obituary of Patricia Marie Robichaud

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia Marie (Arseneau) Robichaud announce her passing on July 9, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by family. Patricia was born on May 26, 1938, in Pokemouche, NB to the late Arthur and Alexina (Noel) Arseneau. She was the fourth child, in a family of 17.

Patricia is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Gaspard Robichaud, their children; Ken Robichaud (Norma), Georgine Blais (Claude), Irene Fournier, Sandra Gormley and Tina Logue (John), siblings; Patrice Arseneau (Josie), Lucien Arseneau, Elie Arseneau, Georgette Boudreau, Leona Crandlemere, Fabiola Dechamplain (Alfred), Angelina Dempsey (Joe), Noella Blanchard (Eddie), Marie Marthe Pedneault (Jean Paul) and Gloria Arseneau, 11 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents Arthur and Alexina, siblings; Albenie Arseneau, Ludger Arseneau, Leo Arseneau, Edmond Arseneau, Jeanette Boudreau and Emelda Comeau, sons in law; Mark Fournier and Harry Gormley,  brothers in laws; Jean Louis Boudreau, Harold Crandlemere, and Dolar Comeau, and sisters in law; Suzanna Arseneau, Amedee Boudreau, and Vanessa Arseneau.

Before settling down and starting their family Patricia worked for several years at the DVA Hospital in housekeeping. After their children were born, Patricia was a fulltime stay at home Mom, which her children greatly appreciated. Patricia and her family spent many summers trailering at T&T Park on Coles Island, they went there for over 30 years.

Patricia loved going to the salon and shopping, she was a true girly girl. She enjoyed going to the 30 up club dances with her husband Gaspard. Patricia also loved her ice cream.

Resting at Castle “Fallsview” Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Private Family Interment will take place on Friday, July 16, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to Parkinson’s Canada or charity of the donor’s choice.
