Obituary of Patricia Ann Anderson

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patricia Ann (Bates) Anderson announces her passing on May 14, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Patricia was born on September 6, 1958 in Boston, MA, to the late John and Eileen (McMullen) Bates. 

Patricia worked for several years as a supervisor at the Centre for Youth Care. She was very crafty and enjoyed baking. Patricia grew up around the Boston Red Sox as a child, her grandmother was a cook for the team, which eventually sparked her passion for the NY Knicks and Boston Celtics. Patricia also loved blueberry picking and tree tipping with her husband Danny.  She loved holidays because it meant she got to be surrounded by her family. 

Patricia will be dearly missed by her husband Danny Anderson, son Keith Anderson (Shelley), daughter Amy Anderson, brothers; John Bates, Mike Bates, Dave Bates (Michelle), and George McMullen (Heather), sisters; Judy Bates (Denis) and Marie Leaney (Tom), grandchildren; Emma Anderson, Cortland Scouinard, Nigel Anderson, Terrance Anderson and Charlotte Anderson, and many nieces and nephews. 

Patricia is predeceased by her parents John and Eileen, and sisters; Joanne and Susan Bates. 

Arrangements are under the care of Castle Fallsview Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. A Memorial Service will be held from Castle Fallsview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 19th, 2021 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Please be advised due to COVID-19 only a limited number of friends and family are allowed entry. Admission will be on a first come basis.  Donations in Patricia’s memory can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
