Obituary of Hilly March

It is with great sadness the family of Hilyard Joseph “Hilly” March husband of Cindy March wish to announce his passing on April 25, 2021 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John in 1943,  He was the son of the late Hilyard March and Helen ( DeRoche) March.

Hilly was larger than life, some would even say a legend. One of a Kind. He was a man of few words but his presence spoke volumes. He was a protector, a provider, and entertainer who loved his family and friends unconditionally and would drop everything to help them out without question. He had a life long passion for anything on wheels. An avid antique car collector and builder. Biking was in his blood and he was loved and well respected by all who shared his passion.

Hilly is survived by his adoring wife, Cindy March, loving children, Morgan March (Ryan Patterson), of GrandBay-Westfield, Derek (Jewel) March, of Dipper Harbour, Sheryl (Don) Scott, of Maces Bay, Seven Cherished grandchildren, Maycie, Maddyx, Dustin, Kayla, Shelby, Chelsea, and Devin.

Hilly was predeceased by his parents, an infant son, David , and a daughter Lorene.

Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, (634 1701). Visitation will be held on Friday April 30, 2021, and Saturday May 1, 2021 from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8 pm. No suits, come as you are. A PRIVATE Celebration of Hilly’s life will be held on Sunday May 2, 2021 at Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Interment will take place in Maces Bay Cemetery.
