My deepest sympathy. My Mom & Dad talked about Paul often and fondly - my Dad always attributed him meeting mom to Paul. Dad use to say he was going to go to Croatia one summer to visit Paul & Anna...I hope Dad and Paul are meeting in the heavens tont ❤️

With great sadness and wonderful memories of a great man whose golden heart stopped beating from all the years of hard work and dedication for his family and friends. Paul will be remembered as a humble man who loved his family (Anita, Gordana, Johnny and Georgie) to the moon and back. As a young girl growing up Paul and all of the other European families were known to me as family. Many good times were had and many laughs and hardships were had, things that family could all overcome as one, which we all did. Paul was a very generous and gentle man who loved to tease the children and bring big smiles to their faces. He was always there to help people with his exceptional talent of laying tile and beautiful work it was. I for one had the honor of his work in my home and with it came the stories and laughs which I will never forget. Going to his an Anita's home we couldn't leave without Shane having some of his famous grappa and cake. Good thing I was driving. You were always made to feel comfortable in their home from the hospitality of himself and Anita and always felt full from the awesome food you were served, especially Anita's lasagna. Rest in peace my friend, I know you are playing cards again with your friends in heaven and I can hear the loud voices and certain words I learned as a child I can't mention. Until we meet again someday, you will be sadly missed. My love and hugs go out to Anita and Gordana. Helena Berryman

I had the pleasure to know Paulo because Gianni and I were friends for years. What a great man always such a fun spirit....wanting to share the dinners the italian picnics and loving the kinship of family and friends. He and Anita always made me feel like family when I was there to hang out with Gianni. Always armed with good vino and grappa to toast the occasion.....I learned early what grappa was and Paulo's could give you an instant buzz with a little coffee. Growing up in our family I had never experienced that and boy could it get you in trouble if he caught you off guard. I remember thinking OMG this is powerful. I approached cautiously after that. Paulo was always ready for a party drinka the vino enjoy life! Ciao Paulo may you be with Gianni now. Anita and Gordana my thoughts and prayers are with you so sorry for your loss. Love Ya!

Tvoji Zorana,Bore,Frane i Kristina. Počivao u miru Božjem.

Sending love and prayers to you Anita and Gordanna. Although I have many memories of Paul and his love of children and pets with giving treats usually an Italian cookie ( Biscottis) my fondest is of him pinching my cheek giving me a great big hug, and constantly telling me how much I reminded him of his sister Zorka and all with a little twinkle in his eyes, of the love he had for his home, and growing up in Krapanj. He will be missed and cherished, but never forgotten with all the stories we will tell to our families of him. Xo Sonya, Grant, Evan and Blake

I will continue to share the memories and laughter of my childhood and the many stories of Uncle Paul and my father, with my kids. We are thinking of you guys during these difficult times. Born and raised in Rockwood Court in the 60's and 70's gave me the pleasure of meeting Johnny who I hung around with and have fond memories of that I will never forget. Paulo and Anita were special people in my life growing up listening to Johnny speak Italian to his parents back then. I lived beside Yorko Zigante and grapes were a special delicacy when they arrived from Europe believe me. Paulo was the kindest man I know of, please accept my condolences Anita and Gordana on the loss of your Dad he will never be forgotten. RIP Paulo.

Gordana and Anita: I am so very sorry for your great loss. I have so many childhood memories of Paul. Memories of the times that our families would gather at Fisher Lakes: Paul and the other men playing cards laid out on blankets in the grass. Memories of our families gathered each week-end at the Knappics; Paul and the other men roasting a whole pig in an old barrel. During my last visit with Paul I had the pleasure of hearing more stories about the topics that the guys would talk about while playing poker at the Knappics...stories that I can't share on this page..ha ha! What I remember most about my last visit with Paul is how often and how proudly he spoke of you Gordana. Not much time passed in our conversation with-out Paul talking about his life with you Anita. The world has lost a great man. A man who no matter the hardship always worked so very hard to overcome the challenge and then to bring about an even better circumstance for himself and his family. It is now your time to rest Paul. Your time to laugh and joke...in a very loud voice!!,... as you enjoy a glass... or two of homemade wine that you and the guys...Peter, Angelo, Milan, Zorko, Ivan made using the best grapes that heaven could provide. R.I.P. Paul. You will be greatly missed!
