Obituary of LeRoy Hughson
It is with great sadness, the family of LeRoy Hughson would like to announce his passing on July, 30, 2017 at the SJRH with his loving wife by his side. Leroy was born on May 6, 1944 in Fredericton, NB to the late Vernon and Marguerite Hughson. LeRoy was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, recently receiving his pin for 40 years of membership. Everyone who knew him will remember him for his quick wit and great sense of humor. He loved his family very much, especially his devoted wife who was his world. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Theresa (nee Maloney) , daughters; Tabatha Hughson-Rice (Bruce), Paula Woodworth (Shawn), Pam Jackson (Dana), son, Mark Jackson (Lisa), brother, Milton Hughson (Dawn), sister, Pam Lynch (Pat), grandchildren; Ben, Liam, Zoey, Harley, Brooklynn, Khloey, Sawyer and Kyleigh. LeRoy will also be greatly missed by his brothers-in-law; Robert (Pam), Leo (Denise), Ron (Anne), Dr. Gerald (Colleen), sisters-in-law; Betty Ann (Gerry), Linda (Bruce), Mary Lou (Al), Maureen (Don), and Cathleen (Al). The family would like to extend their thanks and gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff from 4AN at the SJRH. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634-1701). Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 2:00PM - 4:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM. Funeral Service will be held at Castle Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pediatric Oncology Unit at the SJRH, Hestia House, the SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
