Obituary of Jacqueline Elizabeth Nelson

Jacqueline Elizabeth Nelson passed away on May, 28, 2017 at the Saint John St. Stephen Nursing Home. She was born in Saint John, on August 29, 1928 to Garfield and Martha (Berry) Sears. Jacqueline worked as the hairdresser for Dr. WF Roberts Hospital School until its closing. In her spare time she enjoyed spending it at her second home in Chance Harbor, she was also a member of the Legion Branch 69 and the Hillcrest Baptist Church. Jacqueline had a great love for hats. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family, predeceased by her parents, husband Royden Nelson, brother; Fred Sears, sisters; Blanche Terris, Helen Perry and Norma Campbell. She is survived by and will be dearly missed by her son Fred and his wife Gwen Nelson. Arrangements are under the care of Castle funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). Keeping with Jacqueline’s wishes there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 30th at 2:00pm at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
