Obituary of Marion M. Robertson
It is with heavy hearts and sadness that the family of Marion M. Robertson announce her passing on Thursday February 21, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital to be reunited with her precious son Christopher John Robertson. Born in Saint John on February 12, 1952, she was a daughter of the late John Edward and Erma Elizabeth (Byno) Hoben. Marion also known as “Mare” loved her family very deeply and her many special life-long friends. Marion’s love of life and casual flare will be reflected in her Funeral Service. Marion will be dearly missed by her husband of 47 years Donald “Donnie” Robertson, she was the love of his life and soulmate. She is also survived by her daughter and best friend, Shannon Blanchard (Danny) of Quispamsis; brother Robert Hoben “Robbie” (Pam), sisters; Marie Swan, Marilyn Calder (Allan) and Jeannie Theriault, sister in-law Myrna Coy; all of Grand Bay- Westfield, brother in-law Gary (Sandi) Robertson of Porters Lake, N.S. She was a special Nene to Grandson Ewan Patterson and chosen Grand Daughter Hannah Blanchard (Anders) and was a special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Marion is predeceased by her parents, son Christopher (2002), brother Sonny Coy, brothers in-law Guy Swan and Roger Theriault and parents in-law Ernie and Jean Robertson. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3. 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 25th from 1:00PM- 8:00PM at Castle. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, February 26th at 11:00AM in Castle “Fallsview” Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date at Fernhill Cemetery.
