Obituary of Harvey Albert Flewelling JR.
It is with heavy hearts the family of Harvey Albert Flewelling JR. announce his passing after a courageous battle with cancer at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 13th 2019. He was the loving husband of Marilyn (Guthrie) Flewelling. Harvey was born on August 26th, 1949 in Saint John to the late Harvey Sr. and Blanche Elizabeth (Garnett) Flewelling. Harvey spent his career working in construction and as a truck driver. In his spare time he enjoyed spending it with his family, especially his grandchildren; he adored them. Harvey was also an outdoors person, he loved fishing and just being out there keeping busy. He will be dearly missed by his wife Marilyn, children; Sean Flewelling of Moncton, Nancy (Jason) McGaghey of Saint John, Laura Flewelling of Saint John, Meghan Guthrie ( Adam McQueen) of Saint John, Tiffany Johnson of St. George, brother Brad Flewelling (Pam Bleuman) of Vancouver, B.C, sisters; Star Walker (Wayne) of Black River, NB, Dorothy Braden (Glen) of Saint John, Gloria Greer (Sam) of Sussex, NB, Rosanna Kirkpatrick (Gary) of Saint John, grandchildren; Kevin, Austin, Joshua, Shyanne, Kaylie, Bryanna, Jayden, Darren, Abygail, Eric, Stephen, Jailynn, Marshall, Railynn and Benjamin, special cat Missy, several nieces and nephews. Harvey is predeceased by his parents, granddaughter Jackie Johnson, half-brother Vinta Flewelling and half-sister Joyce Yonney Flewelling. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M2L3. 506-634-1701. Keeping with Harvey’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Interment will take place in the spring at Woodstock Bedell Settlement Cemetery.
