Obituary of Doris M. Churchill
It’s with great appreciation for a life well lived, that the family of Doris M. Churchill announce her passing on January 1st, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was the loving wife of George Churchill for 63 years. Doris was born on October 29th 1924 in Wallace, Nova Scotia to the late William and Ida (Canfield) Angevine. Doris was a truly caring person and pursed a life-long career in Nursing. She graduated in 1946 and began working at Aberdeen Regional Hospital. Later Doris continued her career working for Dr. Davidson, where she eventually retired from after 20 years. In her spare time she loved dancing, spending time with her family and keeping active. Doris had a daily regiment where she would walk 135 steps every hour, every day. She will be dearly missed by her husband George, son Richard and his wife Heike of Ontario, grandson Andrew, several nieces and nephews. Doris is predeceased by her parents and sister Wilma. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. Keeping with Doris’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date in Angevine Cemetery in Wallace, Nova Scotia. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice.
