Obituary of Elbridge Gordon Calhoun

It is with great sadness that the family of “Al” Elbridge Gordon Calhoun of Clifton Royal, NB announce his passing on October 15, 2019. Born August 21, 1951 in Saint John, NB he was the son of Vivian (Bradford) and the late Elbridge Calhoun. Al’s childhood was spent in Glen Falls, NY and later on in Blacks Harbour, NB where he graduated from Eastern Charlotte High School. These places held wonderful memoires for him and were the source of many of his stories. Al loved salmon fishing and looked forward to his annual fishing trips to the Miramichi River. He helped organize the M.S.S.S. Society. Over his many career years he worked for; Avco, Fidelity Trust, Nova Scotia Savings and Loans, Fundy Appraisal Ltd. and, Home Loans Canada. He is survived by his mother; Vivian, loving wife of 34 years; Susan (Baird) and the pride of his life, sons; Bradford, Shawn (Stefani Grana), brother; Ron, grand-children; Elle and Calvin, brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as several nieces and nephews. Al was pre-deceased by his father; Elbridge and sisters; Cheryl (Relyea), Diane (Pearson). Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M2L3 506-634-1701. Visitation will take place on Saturday, October 19th, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. A celebration of life will follow, at 12 noon. All are invited to stay for a reception at Castle Funeral Home after the service. Interment will take place at a later date.
