I lived with Pam and Margie Welin many years ago during the glory years. We had great fun and adventures. Pam was both determined and up for new adventures. I have great respect and admiration for her ability to know what she wanted and go get it - of make it happen. I am saddened that Pam has left us so soon, and feel for her family. My thoughts are with you all. Safe journey Pam!

We are sadden to hear of Pam's passing. We got to know Pam through the Pride Training where she proved to have much knowledge and experience as she too was a foster parent. During breaks we had a few opportunities to talk with Pam candidly and from the heart. A generous, kind, disciplined, loving and caring person, a woman who embraced God's calling to care for children and to help. A woman willing to go the extra mile and be available to support you. Pam has fought the good fight and finished the race and now to receive her crown. To Pam's family and friends and all who will feel this great loss, may God give you comfort and peace. Our deepest sympathy

I had worked with Pam at SJB/KE for approximately 3 and half years. Although our time together was short, Pam left a great impression on me. I loved her sense of humor, her hard work ethics, and her nurturing and caring side. We had kept in touch through facebook and on occasion we would bump into one another around town. I am shocked and saddened by her death as you all must be too! My sincere condolences to you all. Pam, you will be missed.

Pam was my son's main aide in Mrs. Frasier's classroom over the past couple of years. She had a certain magic for keeping my son's attention and helping him learn in the classroom setting. I will miss our morning chats and the advice she was always open to give. She was so kind, sweet, funny and knowledgeable; our family will miss her very much.

So profoundly saddened to hear of the loss of this wonderful woman, friend and foster parent. I consider myself as having been truly blessed to have been able to learn from, and teach beside this champion advocate for resource caregivers and children & youth in need. As I grieve the loss of our dear friend gone too soon, there is some comfort in knowing that Pam leaves the world behind in a better place because of how she spent her time with us. Having dedicated much of her life to helping and caring for others, her legacy will no doubt live on through the many lives that she's touched for the better. Heaven has certainly inherited a handful... RIP my dear friend, and sending my sincerest condolences to her family, of whom she was so very proud.

My first memory of Pam was a telephone conversation whereby she was giving directions to her home so that I could place a youth in care.... "you know the house with all the beautiful flowers - well that's not it, I live in the house beside it". Pam's enormous hospitality & her need to make sure our children felt like it was their home too made it the most beautiful house ever. She shared to the enth; her children, her pets, her compassion, her wisdom, her sense of humour, and her warm smile. My sincere sympathy to her family & friends. The gifts she left us all will never be forgotten & have definitively made the world a better place.

I worked with Pam in her capacity as a foster parent. It was so comforting to bring children to her. Knowing that she’d care for them, let the little things slide, and do her very best to make this time a little less stressful for everyone (Social Workers included). My deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Todd and I have known Pam well before we became foster parents. We met Pam back when Todd's mom and stepdad (Bill and Jean Donaldson) were foster parents. I remember when we took Pride a couple of decades ago. Pam would tell stories about the kids she use to have in care and how upset she was when one of them broken a flower pot. Todd and I never laughed so hard. We understand now more then ever the ups and downs of fostering and making a difference in the lives or children who need to know that someone out there loves them and cares how they are doing. Pam will be forever remembered as the lady that cared deeply and would tell you like it is. Rest In Peace Pam

She was always there when we needed her and was an excellent support to the fostering community. We had such great times together and I know she will be remembered by all as the person who only wanted the best for children who were in need of foster care. You will be sadly missed my friend.

Dear Sarah & John It was with enormous sadness we heard of your mother’s passing. Pam was a dear co-worker and friend loved dearly by the staff & students at SJBKE. Today, many of our staff shared memories of Pam. They spoke of her kindness, her passion and dedication to working with students, & her love of family, especially her grandchildren. You can be extremely proud of having such a mother. She was an amazing lady, of great character and humour. We will all miss her witty conversations! I cannot thank Pam enough for her continued dedication and passion in supporting our students as well as her guidance and support to fellow staff members. We did not just lose a staff member but, a member of our school family. Pam, you will be forever missed by us. My deepest condolences, Christine Roy, Principal SJBKE
