Obituary of Brian Wayne Dorrans

Brian Wayne Dorrans of 68 years passed away peacefully on October 16th, 2019 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Brian was an industrial salesman for many years, travelling throughout Canada. He was an avid duck hunter; wood craver- best known for his memory poles and bears craved from a chainsaw; and he enjoyed playing cards especially crib and poker. Brian treasured talking friends and family for hours and never passed up a good debate. He also loved spending time at the family cottage in Belle Isle, watching sunsets and thunderstorms. Brian is survived by his high school sweetheart Patricia (Kern) Dorrans, son Devin Stuart Dorrans and his wife Darcy of Quebec, daughter Shannon Kathleen Dorrans - Calder and her husband Dennis of Saint John, sisters; Sheila Walsh (David) of Ontario and Colleen Colwell (Jack) of Ontario, 3 adored grandchildren; Kail Calder (15), Ava Dorrans (6) and Hudson Dorrans (4), several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M2L3 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 21, 2019 from 2:00PM–4:00 PM and 6:00 PM-8:00PM. A Memorial Service will take place on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in Castle “Fallsview” Chapel at 1:00PM.
