Obituary of Darlene Elaine Losier

It is with heavy hearts the family of Darlene Elaine Losier announce her passing on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at St. John/St. Stephen Nursing Home surrounded by loved ones. Darlene was born on March 2nd, 1946 to the late Edgar and Dorothy (Smith) Shephard. She spent her career years working at K-Mart, CT, RCS Netherwood and Riley’s Services. Darlene was a long-time and devoted member of St. George’s Anglican Church, she was a lay reader and member of the Vestry during her time there. She was a giving and caring person, volunteering at the Westside Food Bank, member of the Mothers’ Union, Womens Institute and Cursillo movement. Darlene will be dearly missed by her children; Randy (Marianne) Losier, Scott (Brenda) Losier and Deborah (Paul) Brown, brother Douglas (Barb) Shephard, sister Marilyn (Syl) Nordstrom, sister in law Roseanne Shephard, brother in law Mackie Hewey, 8 grandchildren; Tyler, Meghan, Michael, Jacob, Carter, Shelby, Genevieve, Madeline, great granddaughter Ava, several nieces and nephews. Darlene is predeceased by her parents, loving husband Lawrence Losier, daughter Marjorie McCullum (Nee Losier), sisters Eleanor Hewey and Jean (Mike) Colwell, brothers Bill Shephard and Eddie Shephard. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John, NB E2M2L3. (506)634-1701. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 24th at Castle Funeral Home from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 25th at 11:00AM in Castle Fallsview Chapel. A reception will follow at Castle Fallsview Reception Center. Private family interment will be held at a later date in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery.
