Obituary of Frank Albert Ellis
After a short battle with cancer, Frank Albert Ellis passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 9, 2018 with his wife Linda Diana (Button) and family at his side. Born in Lepreau, NB on January 23, 1944, he was a son of the late Frank and Annie (Meehan) Ellis. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Linda, Frank is survived by his daughter Angela (Se-Youn) Moon, chosen daughters Lori (Kevin Waycott) and Denise Thompson, stepson Brent Clark. Grandchildren Yeanna, Josiah and Eliana Moon, Tyler and Holly Waycott, Amber Clark, and Landon Thompson Sisters; Frances Marr, Eileen (Phil) Gillis, and Ethel Bartlett. Sister-in-laws; Ruth Ellis, Bonnie Saretsky, Sharon (Jerry) VanTassel, Brenda (John) Whitlock, Diane (Ted) VanTassel. Brother-in-laws; Jim (Nikki) Comeau and Fred (Judy) Comeau. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Norman Ellis and grandson Gregory Waycott. Prior to retirement, Frank had 38 years of service with Irving Oil. His greatest joy came from being around his children and grandchildren and time spent back at the camps with friends. Frank served in the army reserves, was a volunteer with the local Cub Scouts, Brother of the Order of St. John Ambulance and founder of the 763 Lepreau Division, Chapel Warden for St. Margarets Anglican Church and was Warden for the Point Lepreau EMO. Franks family is extremely thankful and grateful to Dr. Anderson, Dr. Poon, Dr. Landry, Dr. Douglas, and the amazing and compassionate staff of the ER, 4CN, and Palliative Care Unit. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). In keeping with Franks wishes there will be a short visitation from 12:00pm-1:30pm on Wednesday June 13, 2018 at St. Margaret’s Anglican Church in Lepreau, NB, immediately followed by the celebration of his life at 2:00pm. In his memory, donations to The Childrens Wish Foundation or Outflow Ministries would be appreciated in lieu of flowers. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
