Chris touched the hearts of our family as a young boy so many years ago. Always fun times on those camping trips. He grew into a great man and that a lot of people will surely miss. My heart goes out to the family and friends in this troubled time

I am so sorry for your loss. Chris was such a big part of my childhood growing up in Quinton Heights. I have so many memories of Chris from Grade 1-12. I have always felt so fortunate to have grown up in Quinton Heights... your back yard, sliding, making forts, our little bike gangs and Chris was always a part of it. Sincerely, Becky Donald

Debbie, Ralph, Mr. & Mrs. McKay I am truly sorry for lose of your brother and son. Chris was one of the first people I met when our family moved to Quinton heights and we became friends immediately. I will always remember his love for music "If I ever here of the band Devo I immediately think of Chris", playing marbles at the park in front of Mikes house seemed like a daily occurrence during the summer. Building forts in the woods behind your house on Hillcrest drive. I could go on and on with all the fabulous memories we had the opportunity to make. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you all at this most difficult time. Geoff

To the McKay family, I am sorry to hear of your loss of Chris....I have fond memories of hanging out with Chris and sliding down the hill by your home on Hillcrest drive, also playing with our G.I .Joe's beneath the base of the power tower again with Chris....but what is etched in my memory bank the most about Chris was his early love of the Islanders ,when all the rest of us were typical Leafs,Habs, or Bruins fans....and also that Chris seemed to always have the most bubblegum hockey cards of any of the kids our age , which we often flipped through on the city transit ride home from school....got him , got him, need him was what I remember saying when he was quickly flipping through his thick deck of cards .......he was a good guy .

Both Allan and I were saddened to read of Chris' passing. He was truly a fixture on Tennants Cove Rd. Seeing him out for his daily walk he would always stop to have a chat with us on the Smith's deck. Perhaps picking up pop tabs we each collected for him or maybe just discussing the newest variety of beer available! Our condolences to the family.
