Obituary of Timothy Chapman

It is with great sadness that the family of Timothy (Timmy) Chapman announce his unexpected passing on October 2, 2018 at the young age of 56. He was survived by his loving wife Pauline (Levesque) Chapman, whom he met in 1989 and married in 2001. Timmy was born in Saint John on July 7, 1962 to Florence P. and Eric G. Chapman. He was one of nine children. Grieving Timmy’s loss are his brothers – Wayne & Dianne of Grand Bay-Westfield; Richard & Berniece of Saint John; Michael & Mary Ann of Saint John; Kevin & Dianne of Saint John and his sisters – Debbie & Rob Parke; Brenda Chapman, Kathryn Taylor and special sister Linda Chapman. He also leaves behind 11 nieces and nephews. Matt and Jeff (nephews) and Jeff’s boys Gregory, Timothy and Oliver (great nephews) were the sons he never had but loved so much. Also surviving Timmy were his brothers-in-law Robert Levesque of Saint John and Roland Levesque & Diane of Grand Falls and niece Samantha Levesque of Grand Falls. He also leaves behind many friends and was well known around the Grand Bay-Westfield area. Timmy is predeceased by his mother, father, his brother George and his faithful sidekick Dudley, the dog. Upon graduation from Saint John Vocational School, Timmy started his life long career as an Industrial Electrician working with O’Brien Electric and Gardner Electric until his time of death. Timmy and Pauline built their life around their family, friends and dogs, their home in Grand Bay-Westfield, and his Harley Davidson and ATV. Timmy was an avid hunter though he loved and respected nature and felt at peace just being in the woods. He was a very particular carpenter and electrician and you could expect nothing but perfection from what he accomplished in life. Though there was some question as to the validity of this, Timmy was very vocal about naming himself his mother’s favorite son. Things that he was passionate about he supported with his whole heart …he was a straight shooter and a solid, all round good family man and husband. He liked to live life simple with no fuss or drama and was the kind of guy you could trust with your life. Those of us left to grieve him will never be the same. Arrangements are under the direction of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 (506) 634-1701. As per Timmy’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A public graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Sand Cove Road, Saint John West at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 9th. The family would appreciate any donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of donor’s choice. On line condolences and donations may be placed at www.castlefh.com.
