Obituary of Lada Barbara Eileen Beckingham

Surrounded by her family, Lada Barbara Eileen Beckingham passed away peacefully at the Georges L. Dumont Hospital in Moncton, NB August 16, 2019. Daughter of the late, John and Alice (Bastarache) Campbell, Lada was born in Saint John, NB on March 13, 1939. A kind-hearted and generous woman, Lada lived her life serving others. She retired from Centracare after 37 years of employment. She put family first and did not hesitate to help out those in need. Lada loved playing TV Bingo and looking out her kitchen window. She loved being around family and her fur grandkids; Hershey and Roma. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ronald Beckingham, daughter; Lada (Dale) Phillips, of Moncton, NB and sister; Liz (Brian) Tracey, of Saint John, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Lada was pre-deceased by brothers; Paul, Frankie, and Ronnie Campbell, sisters; Margaret Hull, Annie Hull, and Rosie Fader. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home with visitation to take place Monday, Aug. 19, 2019 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, August 20, at 12 noon from Our Lady of the Assumption Church in Saint John. Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery with a reception to follow at the Assumption Centre.
