Obituary of Emily Anne Mason

It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our sweet Emily on May 4, 2017 at her residence in Calgary, Alberta. Words cannot describe our sorrow. Her infectious laugh, smile and amazing blue eyes will be forever remembered and missed. Emily's personality could only be described as pure kindness and generosity. She was always willing to help out another, and we will never forget the impact she had on so many others throughout her journey. Emily was great with children and brought positive energy with her wherever she went. Her uplifting presence will never be forgotten. Emily was survived by her father Norman Mason, her mother Margaret Perry (John Bastarache), her loving brother Stephen Mason, her little sister Hannah (Josh) Lanigan, and her only niece Aidah Lanigan. She also leaves behind her half- sisters Shannon and Kristin Bastarache, and her half- brother Keir Bastarache, along with several aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends from her hometown Saint John, N.B and new loving friends and second family from Calgary, Alberta. We welcome friends and family to help us celebrate the life of sweet Emily who will be resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Visitation will be Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14 from 2:00 pm- 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm- 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, May 15 at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 12:00 noon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
