Obituary of Eva M.F.Stanley

It is with great sadness the family of the late Eva M.F. Stanley announce her passing which occurred on August 4th, 2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Eva was born in Saint John, NB on May 30th 1938, a daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Watters) Reynolds. She spent her married life on Grand Manan Island. Eva loved her family and enjoyed bingo and trips to the mainland. She also loved to cook and bake. Many family and community members enjoyed the fruits of her labour. Eva is survived by sons; Robin (Melissa) Stanley of Castalia, NB and Shawn Stanley (Vanessa) of Hopewell Hill, NB, step-daughter; Jean Boyd of Yarmouth, NS, sister; Mary Rankine of Hamilton, ON and brother Rick Reynolds (Irma) of Rothesay, NB. Eva will also be missed by; nieces, nephews, numerous cousins, grand-children; Emma, Olivia, and Garrett and step grandchildren; Patrick and Todd, as well as close friends; Eloise and Marilyn. Including her parents, Eva was pre-deceased by her husband Francis Gordon Stanley (May 2018), two sisters; Freda Mackellar (2013) and Lily Reynolds (1953). Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John, NB (634-1701). A visitation will take place Wednesday, August 8th, from 11-12 PM with a funeral service to be held in the Chapel at 12 PM. Interment will follow at Fernhill Cemetery. Donations to the Grand Manan Legion or donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
