Obituary of Audrey Reid Hutton
Audrey passed away April 25th,2018 at the Saint John Regional Hospital at the age of 93. Born in Saint John on June 18, 1924, she lived all of her life in Saint John except for her WWII years of service with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Ottawa. Audrey was the daughter of the late Peter and Ida May (Reid) Carscadden. She was predeceased by her beloved husband George 2002, brother Stuart Carscadden, 2015, sister Jean Burgoyne 1987, and grandson Zachary Hutton 2014. Audrey is survived by her daughter Sheila Burton (Gary) of Burlington Ontario, grandson Donald Buchanan (Cori) and great grandson Nicholas of Calgary, granddaughter Kimberly Buchanan of London UK and son Tom Hutton (Wendy) of Saint John and Joshua Hutton of Red Deer. Before her marriage, Audrey worked for Red Rose Tea Company. Following her marriage in 1947, she settled in the former Lancaster, was active raising her two children and an original member of the Carleton Curling Club. Audrey always looked forward to her summers with George at their cottage in Long Reach. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). A celebration of Audrey’s life and interment will be held at a later date.
