Obituary of Geraldine Sherwood

It is with great sadness that the family of Geraldine Sherwood announce her passing at Bobby’s Hospice on Saturday, September 15, 2018. Beloved mother of Harold (James) Sherwood of Saint John, Robert Sherwood of Sweden, Ann Freeze (Jim) of Saint John. Sister to Grace Gogan. Grandmother to Jason, Jaime, Joe and Lisa. Great Grandmother to Kayla, Lily, Evie and Charlotte; several nieces and nephews. Born February 7, 1936, Geraldine was the daughter of the late James and Gertrude (Niles) Logan. Geraldine is predeceased by her husband Harold Sherwood (1989), brother Jim Logan and sister Marlene Logan. Mom retired from the Saint John Regional Hospital Housekeeping Department in 1989. Besides her family, mom loved music and singing more than anything. Teaching herself to use a computer later in life, she discovered a karaoke site, SingSnap. She recorded over 300 songs and received numerous certificates as voted by her peers. She will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Bobby’s Hospice for the kind and loving care you showed our mom. We don’t know what we would have done without you. Julien who sung to her while in Bobby’s care and her friends at Danells Drive for all their help and support over the years, and her caregiver and friend Brenda, who mom shared a special bond.
