Obituary of Leo Joseph Martin

Martin, Leo J. It is with great sadness that the family of Leo J. Martin announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday May 9th 2018. Son of the late Benoit and Domithilde (Breau) Martin and loving husband of the late Kay Martin. He worked as a broker truck driver in Hamilton, Ontario and Saint John for many years. Leo was a Korean War Veteran with the P.P.C.L.I Special Forces. He was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He bowled in several senior leagues and was an avid Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Blue Jays fan. Leo is survived by four sons: Michael (Debbie) of Saint John, Douglas (Pamela) of Cayuga, Ontario, Leonard (Dale) of Salisbury, NB, Kevin (Amber) of Nerepis, NB, and one daughter Michelle (Todd) Nice of Saint John, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, his parents, infant daughter Brenda Jean, and all of his brothers and sisters. By Leo’s request there will be no visitation. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Dufferin Row on May 16th at 12 noon. Internment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
