Obituary of David Cyril Doiron

It is with heavy hearts that the family of David Cyril Doiron announces his sudden passing on Friday, September 4, 2020 at home. David was born on November 17, 1953 in Saint John, NB to the late Frank and Frances (Kane) Doiron. David worked for the railway for several years. He enjoyed working and had a passion for trains; he always knew what they were carrying. He had an eye for detail; he loved refinishing furniture and building model ships. He also was a classic car enthusiast; apparently owning lots of old cars in his day. David loved his daughters very much, he was very proud of his girls and what they’ve accomplished. Some of his fondest memories with them were their trips to Florida every second year when Chelsie and Courteney were little. David was really good cook and enjoyed having a good meal with friends and family. He loved animals and helping others. David is survived by his daughters; Chelsie (Danny) Hooper and Courteney (Scott) Carlin, brothers; Keith (Beverly) Doiron, Chris (Nancy) Doiron, and Daryl (Mary Beth) Doiron, grandchildren; Nevaeh, Axel, Paislee and Hadley, ex-spouse and friend Mary Doiron, and several nieces and nephews. David is predeceased by his parents, brother Paul, sister-in-law Rosalind, nephew and niece Paul and Francis, and his dear cat Abbey. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. A Memorial Service will be held at Castle Funeral Home "Fallsview" Chapel on Wednesday, September 9th, 2020 at 11:00 AM, with a reception following. Interment will take place at a later date.
