Obituary of Jeannine Theresa Marie Joyce

Jeannine Theresa Marie Joyce passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, on March 24th, 2018 at the SJRH. Jeannine was born on April 2nd 1948, in Grand Barachois NB, to the late Alphee and Delphine Leger. She loved cooking, listening to country music, playing computer games and gardening. Before her retirement, Jeannie worked in the Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing as a dietary aide. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Lisa Melvin (Robert) of Saint John, NB, son Kevin Joyce (Sheila) of Edmonton, AB, brother Leo Leger (Yvette) of Grand Barachois, NB, sisters; Rosella Cormier (Euclide) of Saint Marie, NB and Denise Vautour (Leo) of Cap-Pele, NB, sister in-law Georgette Leger, 4 grandchildren; Samantha McLeod, Natasha MacEachern (Taylor), Evan McLeod and Alyssa Joyce, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Jeannine is predeceased by her parents, husband Wayne Joyce and brother Gerald Leger. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). A private family service will be held in the chapel of Castle Funeral Home. Interment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery.
