Obituary of Doris May Seeley
It is with great sadness that the family of Doris May (Driscoll) Seeley, wife of the late Carroll Seeley, announce her unexpected passing on Monday, November 18th at home. Doris was born on April 2, 1935 to the late Howard and Amelia (Landry) Driscoll in Saint John, NB. Doris was a truly wonderful wife and mother, she took care of everyone and was a genuinely kind person who could always make you laugh. She loved her little “chickens” and spending time with her family. Doris was a fun loving woman, she always enjoyed outings, especially shopping trips with the girls, and her Thursday Night Jamboree Group. Doris will be dearly missed by her children; Mark Seeley (Holly), Bonnie (Jerry) Alexander, Lynn (Brian) Henderson, and Craig (Shari) Seeley, sister Doreen Williams, grandchildren Jesse Seeley (Kendall), Jarrod Alexander (Vanessa), Sarah – Jayne (Lawrence) Betts, Ty Henderson, Morgan Seeley (Matt) and Matthew Seeley, great grandchildren (Big Nanny); Cole Alexander, Carlye Betts and Georgia Betts, special cat “Kitty Kitty”, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Howard and Amelia Driscoll, husband Carroll, brother Russell Driscoll and sister Rita Maguire. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. Visitation will take place on Thursday, November 21st from 2:00PM – 4:00PM and 6:00PM – 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from the Holy Spirit Parish (St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church) on Friday, November 22nd, 2019 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery with a reception afterwards at Castle “Fallsview” Reception Centre. Donations in Doris’s name can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, Alzheimer’s Society, Breast Cancer Society or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com
