Gwen always made my visits to Anglican House enjoyable. She always knew what I would like liturgically and for reading material. Was so sad to see her leave and missed her presence there. Interesting times working on the Board of the Institute as well. My thoughts and prayers go to her family and especially to Andrea, who I know is back into the teaching world, and so appreciated there. May He hold you in the shadow of His wings. Take care and God Bless. Robyn+

I was very saddened to learn of Gwen's passing...I worked with her at the Westside Food Bank for several years. She was a great person...always volunteering and shopping for the residents at the Kirk....I would run into her so many times at Sobey's running errands for her friends and also taking them to medical appointments. She will be greatly missed. Shirley MacLeod

I was so sorry to learn of Gwen's death. I worked with Gwen on the board of the Church of England Institute for many years. Gwen was always pleasant and easy to work with., she could track down virtually anything you wanted When my wife and I had young children, Gwen would order children's books for us, doing what she could to help us out. I remember how the gentlemen who lived in the boarding house across the street would keep an eye on Gwen and the other ladies at Anglican House to make sure no one was bothering them - and Gwen looked out for them. Rest in peace Gwen.

I have nothing but fond memories of Gwen's kind and positive manner when she met us at the door of Anglican House, and helped us find what we needed. She was a great help to everyone and provided an important ministry. She was faithful and steady. My heartfelt sympathies to her dear family. It is with great sadness to hear of the passing of Mrs. MacKnight. I met Mrs. MacKnight and the family at the young age of 3ish and over the years spent much time playing with her children either at their home or on camping trips. She was always very kind and welcoming into their home. I remember as a kid she frequented the library and she would read what seemed to be the thickest books every written! Most amazing! My thoughts and prayers are with the MacKnight family at this difficult time.

I was saddened to learn of Gwen's death. I will always remember her smile and good heart. She would always laugh at my curmudgeonly comments. She was a bringer of joy and peace.

Gwen had such a great heart for people, and for advancing any effort that was helpful to others. She was very determined in tracking down various bits of information pertaining to books ordered, church supplies, and was so often interested to hear about new ideas. She was a wonderful resource for many parish churches and the communities they served. She has done well, a good and faithful servant.

To all of Gwen's family I send my sincere condolences. Gwen was the face of Anglican House. When ever you went there she was so pleasant, welcoming and accommodating. No matter what you wanted, if she did not have it in stock she would always have it for you in a short length of time, all of which was greatly appreciated. May God receive her into His everlasting bliss. Sincerely; Rev. Wally Collett.

Sorry to hear of Gwen's departure from this life. As a long time treasurer of Anglican House until its demise, it was a privilege to work with Gwen who I always found friendly, knowledgeable and co-operative. As an even longer time clients of Anglican House Gwen was a welcoming manager and helpful in providing the resources and finding the books needed for parish ministry and developing a Christian life. May she rest in peace and may light perpetual shine upon her.

I got to know Mrs. MacKnight in the 1990s when my out-of-town brother, the Rev. Chris VanBuskirk, would send me on pick-up and delivery missions to Anglican House on Princess Street. Mrs. MacKnight was always patient and good-natured in the face of whatever off-the-beaten track and supposedly urgent requirement was thrown her way. In recent years, I've seen Mrs. MacKnight as she has supported her daughter Andrea in her calling as a musician, teacher, band leader and community builder. Mrs. MacKnight was understandably proud!
