Obituary of Christine “Chris” Paul

It is with great sadness the family of Christine “Chris” (McGraw) Paul announces her sudden passing on Wednesday, February 27th at home. Christine was born on April 20th, 1961 to the late Herman and Corine (Melanson) McGraw. Christine was a lifelong Westsider and the baby of her large family. She was known for being a very caring and giving person, always taking care of everyone, and making sure they were fed- especially at family gatherings. Christine’s family meant everything to her, she truly loved and cared for them; even her cats and dog Tiny. When she wasn’t looking after her family Christine enjoyed watching Coronation Street, Judge Judy and the Toronto Maple Leafs, knitting in her rocking chair, playing Saturday night cards and Yahtzee with her friends and collecting hockey cards. At work Christine was known as the “Candy Lady”, she always had a sweet treat in her pocket to share with her much loved co-workers at Fundy Linen. She was a woman full of love, life and honesty. Her family will miss her more than anything. She will be dearly missed by her husband Kevin Paul, children; Tyler Paul (Sherrie), Tyson Paul (Alicia), Darryl Morrison (Leah), and Sarah Paul (Luc), brothers; Ronald McGraw (Yvette), Kenny McGraw (Irene) and Paul McGraw (Bonnie), sisters; Shirley Long (Ray) and Paulette Arsenault (Charlie), granddaughter Chloe Gifford, numerous nieces and nephews, and long-time best friend Beverly “Bev” Roche. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M2L3, 506-634-1701. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Assumption Parish on Saturday, March 2nd 2019 at 10:00AM. A Reception will follow Mass at the Assumption Centre. Interment will take place at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in memory of Christine can be made to Bobby’s Hospice, or the charity of the donor’s choice.
