Paula My wife Theresa and I and our children are very sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing, I have fond memories of the early days when our families visited between Winnipeg and Matlock. Our relationship was that your Dad’s father Joe and my Dad Michael, were brothers. Your Dad and his brother Ed were my big and nice cousins. I also recall Theresa, our children Hali and Dean and myself visiting your Mom Pat, Dad, and you near Moncton on our was to the east coast in the late 1970s. Again, please accept our sincere condolences. Sincerely, Don Weiss Attached please find a couple of photos of your Dad, his brother Ed, and me (the little kid), taken by my Mother Nell Weiss at Matlock dated August 5th, 1939!

Paula, Linda and I are deeply saddened for the loss of your dad. Your dad was a larger than life person who projected a heartfelt belief that most people would do the right thing when confronted by choices in their lives. He always offered guidance and a path forward to the most downtrodden of the unfortunate among us. As time passes and you return to life’s routine, may you continue to be comforted by the number of family and friends who were members of your dad’s circle of friends. Paula, thank you for being there for your dad. Linda and I hope that you are well and will continue to live all that life has to offer you in the future. May God be with you. With our deepest Sympathy. Ken and Linda Hatchette

Dear Paula, I was so very sorry to read today of your Dad's passing. I am picturing your Dad, especially in these most recent years, when we've seen you two together. He always had a smile, and a story that lifted your spirits. And, he was so proud of you! I loved his straight forward, no-nonsense approach to life, and he always made me feel like part of the family when we talked. I am sending love, and hugs to you from Nova Scotia, so sadly, will not be able to be there for the visitation, or funeral service. (Our youngest daughter has just had her second child.). I will be with you in spirit, though, and thinking of you each and every day. Keeping you in my prayers, Carolyn (Walter) McIntyre

Paula: Deepest sympathy on the loss of your Dad. He was one of our most faithful attenders at our RCMP Veterans Monthly Luncheons. We will forever miss him. Him and I often sat together and shared memories and amusing stories from our days of service in "J" Division. I have known Wilf since the day I came to "J" Division as a young constable. I shall certainly miss chatting with him at the luncheons. And so now in the days ahead may the memories for you be a comfort in your grief. And may you know the peace that goes beyond understanding. Rev. Wally Collett, Chaplain for New Brunswick RCMP Vets.
