Obituary of Sandra Margaret Rose Baird
Sandra Margaret Rose (Dunham) Baird passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 24th, 2019. Sandra was born on March 1st, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Doris (Lord) Dunham. Sandra was full of life; she loved socializing, hearing jokes, listening to music (preferably country), singing and dancing. She used to attend many of the Lorneville dances, and Gagetown Fairs and festivals. Sandra was also a caring and loving person; she would help take care of her neighbours at the Carleton Kirk Complex whenever she could. She spent a lot of her time socializing - going to both Tim Horton’s on the West Side to visit her friends, going out to eat at Comeau’s or Island Girls Restaurant, or spending time in the common room with friends at the Carleton Kirk Complex. When Sandra wasn’t socializing, she enjoyed solving puzzles and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Sandra will be dearly missed by her daughters; Susan Porter (Steven), Patty Williston and Jody Baird (Raymond Joyce), grandchildren; Isaac Porter, Nathan and Meghan Williston, Jonathan Baird, Lillian and Leisha Joyce, great grandchildren Hailey and Caden, and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and loving husband Donald Melvin Baird (2009). Resting at Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 27th from 12:00 Noon-2:00PM at Castle Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00PM. A Reception in Castle “Fallsview” Reception Centre will follow the service. Interment will take place at a later date in spring. Donations in memory of Sandra can be made to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation or the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made at www.castlefh.com.
