Obituary of Madeline Gogan
It is with great sadness that the family of Madeline (Eileen) (Masocato) Gogan announce her passing on February 9, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Madeline was the wife of the late Albert Gogan and daughter of the late Joseph and Louise (Boucher) Masocato. She is survived by her children Barbara Palmer (David), Norma Knight (John), Stephen Gogan (Judy) and Nancy Russell (Bob Bartlett). Also surviving are her grandchildren Mark, Paul and Chris Palmer (Melana), Lisa Mulrooney, Lori Knight, Brad Gogan (Heather), Jennifer Melanson (Paul), Ryan Russell (Melissa), great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, Madeline was predeceased by her son Gary, infant daughter Laura, grandson Bruce Palmer, great grandson Matthew Palmer, son-in-law Dana Russell, her brother Ralph (Hazel Golding), and her sister Genevieve "Tootie" Hayward (Lloyd). In her early years Madeline loved to go dancing with Albert and their friends. She also loved fishing, bowling, bingo and working in her flower garden. Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Avenue, Saint John, NB E2M 2L3, 506-634-1701. Visitation will be held Monday, February 11, 2019 from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Holy Spirit Parish (St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church) on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 2:00PM. A Reception will follow at the Denis Morris Community Centre. Interment will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery at a later date.
