Obituary of Catherine Anne White
Passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on December 21, after a brave battle with cancer. Catherine Anne was born on March 10th, 1950 at North Head, Grand Manan. She was a daughter to the late Ernest Ingalls (1990) and Mary (Leonard) Ingalls (2014). Cathy worked as a legal secretary at Saint John Shipbuilding until she retired. In her retirement Cathy was an active volunteer for several years as a foster parent, and late years spent her time providing in-home care to the elderly and disabled Cathy is survived by her loving husband of 46 years Ken, her daughter Tammy (White) Petrie (Mike) and her son Kris White (Julie). She is also survived by 5 beautiful grandchildren, Katelyn, Michaela, Aidan, Landon, and Anna and 3 great grandchildren Avalon, Owen, and Isobel Catherine Anne. Cathy is also survived by a brother Leonard Ingalls (Debbie) of Grand Manan, several cousins, nieces and nephews. As well Cathy leaves behind many close friends, especially Barb who was a God send during Cathy’s illness. Besides her parents and grandparents Cathy was also predeceased by a brother, Kevin (1965) and a niece Kelly Ann (1999). Arrangements are under the care of Castle Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John, N.B. (634 1701). At Cathy’s request visitation will be held only one day. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 from 2:00PM-4:00PM and 6:00PM-8:00PM. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 28, at 11:00AM in the Castle Fallsview Chapel. A reception will follow. Interment will take place at St. Augustine’s Cemetery in the spring of 2018.
