Very sad to hear of Aunt Mary's passing. Many many fond memories of her & Uncle Richard. Ava & I stopped in to see Mary couple of years ago when we travelled to NB. We had a great visit and Mary was always a delight to sit and speak with. Mary will be missed by all of us. Our deepest condolences to her family and loved ones. - Jason May & family (Winnipeg,MB.)

So very saddened to hear of Aunt Mary's passing. I have so many happy memories of her and always enjoyed visiting with her and listening to her stories. I especially remember keeping her company on a trip to Halifax to visit with Uncle Dick, who was in the hospital there at the time. We had lots of laughs during the drive and even managed to squeeze in a little shopping along the way. I will definitely miss her! Please know that I am sending my thoughts and prayers to all of her family and friends at this time.

I first met Mary in her front yard. She requested an Avon brochure. Shortly after her and her husband Richard would welcome me in their home. Richard was proud of his little baby collection. Mary loved our jewelry, especially anything to do with her Irish heritage. During our chats I would say to her often, "Are you sure we didn't meet somewhere before"? We could never find the connection. Even though we only new each other less than a decade, she was the kind of person that made you feel you were friends for life!! No matter how Mary's day was going, she always greeted it with a smile. I'm sadden I won't hear her friendly, comforting voice, "please come in" and the greeting from her little princess. R.I.P my friend.

The few times we met Mary at family gatherings and anything Irish, she always made sure to remind me that she was somehow related. My paternal grandmother was Anne Theresa McDermott( O'Leary). And of course Ann May was married to my wife's brother Doug Hunter. It's such a small world. RIP Mary

My heart broke to hear of Aunt Mary's passing. She was such an exceptional lady who always made me and everyone else around her feel special and treasured. Aunt Mary was always a loving presence in our lives, no matter how far away we lived. She put family first and taught us so much about our heritage. I will miss her friendship and constant support more than words could possibly express. I loved her with all my heart and will hold her there always. I wish deeply that I could be there to celebrate her wonderful life with all of the family and friends who loved her. Please know that I'm there in spirit. Take comfort in the many warm memories and in knowing that she has been reunited with so many loved ones previously lost. "And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand."

To the O'Leary and May families. I am sorry to hear of the passing of Mary we met in grade 7 or 8 at Simonds Regional High School and we had become very close friends from then on. Sometimes we wouldn't see or hear from each other for a few months or years but we always knew all we had to do was to pick up the phone; which we did often and those days or years would not have elapsed. Mary was a wonderful person and she loved her family dearly. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you all at this difficult time. I will always cherish Mary's friendship and memories; no greater friend could ever be found. Marjorie

You meant everything to me, you were style and class, you were intelligence and insight, you were advanced and worldly, most of all you were sweet and kind. You were everything I hope to be. I've been crying for days, my world has fallen apart, nothing can mend my broken heart. I love you more than any words can say.

I was fortunate enough to have met Mary through the ICCA and became a friend and admirer. Mary was a beautiful Irish soul who was always kind, friendly and eager to be of help. I had the opportunity to be involved in many meetings and events with Mary and appreciated the uplifting and fun email messages from Mary over the years and will miss her. It is with a heavy heart that I share my deepest sympathies to Mary's family - the OLeary's & the Mays. Mary was one on my favorite Aunts because she was involved in my life from an early age and I know each and every one of her Nieces & Nephews will echo that same sentiment. She was full of life and so involved. .. and was Irish to her core. Heaven has gained another Angel and Dick was waiting impatiently at the gates! Thank you Mary for being you - Cead Mile Failte (A Thousand Thank Yous). Rest peacefully. Xox
